Citric acid is a weak organic acid that is produced as a white crystalline powder & chemical formula is C6H8O7. It is mostly naturally occur in Lemons, oranges, limes, and other citrus fruits possess high concentrations of citric acid. It is a natural food preservative that is also used to add an acidic or sour taste to foods and soft drinks. Citric acid anhydrous occurs as colorless crystals or as white, crystalline powder with a strongly acidic taste. It is very soluble in water, freely soluble in ethanol (96%) and sparingly soluble in ether.

Boric acid also called as a hydrogen borate, boracic acid, and orthoboric acid and acidum boricum. It is chemical formula is H3BO3 .Boric acid is a white or clear-coloured, odourless, and tasteless compound that dissolves in water. It is a mild acid which is relatively non-toxic to humans and non-carcinogenic, and a wide variety of uses in the home.

Antiscalant or Antifoulant is a pretreatment water additive for reverse osmosis system that is highly effective in preventing the membranes from scaling. Before the feed water enters the reverse osmosis membrane, an antiscalant is injected into the water and sent the through the system. The chemicals create a time delay between the bicarbonate and the calcium magnesium. The delay allows the water to pass through the membrane before any chemical reaction, in which scale can form.

Potassium hydroxide is an inorganic compound & chemical formula KOH, and also known caustic potash or Potash lye. Potassium hydroxide is used in many of the same applications as sodium hydroxide. In addition, aqueous KOH is used as the electrolyte in alkaline batteries. It is also used to manufacture soft soaps and liquid soaps by saponification.Many industrially useful potassium salts are prepared by reaction with KOH. Formic Acid also called as methanoic acid, is the simplest carboxylic acid. The chemical formula is HCOOH or HCO₂H. It is an important intermediate in chemical synthesis and occurs naturally, most notably in some ants. 

Formic acid is a colorless liquid having a pungent, penetrating odor at room temperature. It is miscible with water and most polar organic solvents, and is somewhat soluble in hydrocarbons.
