Chemically it is formulated to soften the bond between oil containing deposits and increasing affinity towards water molecules, which is resulting oil cleaning operations by bilge clean. The most important feature of bilge cleaner starts after cleaning of oil from surfaces into the water solution. Bilge cleaner separates oil from water solution clearly in two phases, from where oil can be separated out.  In this way bilge cleaner can be classified as degreaser cum oil separator.
